About Let's Rock Bristol!

After a hugely successful first 2 years, we are delighted to announce that Let’s Rock Bristol! returns to the Ashton Court Estate on the weekend of the 5th to 7th June 2015. With an enormous line-up of artists to bring you the very best of the 80s, and an action packed weekend of general 80s madness, there is plenty to do for everyone at this Family Friendly Festival!

Camping is on offer for those wanting to spend the whole weekend in 80s splendour at Ashton Court. If you want to camp in style, we also have ‘glamping’ options such as Eve’s Tipis and WOW Tents, plus Tangerine Fields. Campers and weekend ticket holders will be exclusively entertained into the night with 80s DJs and live music from more top acts throughout the weekend (TBA).

As the largest 80s music festival in the South West, Let’s Rock Bristol! offers something for the whole family, with entertainment for everyone. Children can enjoy our new “Let’s Rock! Playpen”, which includes tons of free stuff to keep the little ones occupied, including circus workshops with the Bigtopmania Circus, face painting, crafts, tricycles and the “Disco Shack”! With a super funfair including water rides as well as children’s entertainers from BBC/ITV, Let’s Rock Bristol! offers the perfect day out for all the family. Multiple bars and a wide range of quality food outlets, selling food from around the world.

2015 will see our new, funky 80s themed VIP enclosure, where you can pay a visit to our 80s stylists for the ultimate 80s makeover or sit back and relax in the comfy chill out zone or enjoy the outdoor seating area. The VIP enclosure includes a premium food outlet, coffee shop and full bar serving quality brands and 80s cocktails, plus of course the all important VIP luxury loos – essential at any festival!

There will be plenty of action going on during those dull band changeovers, including Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers, Pat Sharp and Dave Benson Phillips, alongside our Lets Rock! Megamix Karaoke – to keep the party going for the whole weekend!

What's included in VIP?

VIP tickets allow access to our funky, 80s themed VIP enclosure. You’ll be able to pay a visit to our 80s stylists for the ultimate 80s makeover (hair and nails!) or simply kick back and relax in our comfy chill out zone or enjoy the outdoor seating area. The VIP enclosure will also include a premium food outlet, coffee shop and full bar serving quality brands and the obligatory 80s cocktails, plus of course the all important VIP luxury loos – essential at any festival!

Fancy dress is recommended (but not compulsory!).

Posh toilet tickets

Posh toilet tickets allow you to access our Posh Toilets – regularly serviced with attendants! Please note that these toilets are in a separate enclosure so one ticket will be required per person. Under 3′s are permitted with their accompanying guardian.

I am having a problem printing my e-ticket/haven't received my ticket

What time does the event start/finish?

The Gates open at 11.00am and we recommend that you get to Ashton Court early, so that you don’t miss any of the action!

The festival starts at midday and finishes at 10:30pm.

Ashton Court Estate

The magical Ashton Court is a mansion house and estate to the west of Bristol. Although the estate lies mainly in North Somerset, it is owned by the City of Bristol.

The estate is the venue for Bristol International Kite Festival, the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta and now Let’s Rock Bristol!

How do I get to Ashton Court?

Ashton Court Estate is two miles from Bristol city centre. The main entrance is off the A369 Portishead Road at Kennel Lodge Road. Please follow event signage to get you onto the Estate and into the main car Park. The Avon Cycle Way runs from Long Ashton through the estate to Clifton Lodge.

The full site address is Ashton Court Estate, Long Ashton, Bristol, BS41 9JN.

Tickets will be on sale shortly for our new bus shuttle service. We are currently planning 2 routes which are as follows:

Shuttle service route 1 (return ticket) – Clifton Rugby Club – Crow Pub Crow Lane – Westbury On Trym, corner of Graystoke Avenue – Texaco Falcondale Road – bus stop on Durham Downs – Spiral Hospital – Bristol Zoo – Ashton Court

Shuttle service route 2 (return ticket) – Temple Meads train station – Coulston Hall – Clifton Downs train station – Ashton Court

Where can I park?

There is plenty of free parking on site for anyone attending Let’s Rock Bristol!

What food is available?

You can bring your own picnic into the main arena but we have a wide variety of catering on offer, including a large BBQ, Indian, Mexican and Chinese. Unfortunately, we can not allow alcohol to be brought in to, or out of the arena, but there are plenty of bars inside the arena selling a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Due to licensing restrictions, you are not permitted to bring alcohol into the arena. There is a wide range of premium alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) drinks available for purchase from our bars.

Can I bring soft drinks/water with me?

You are allowed to bring soft drinks/water with you, as long as these are unopened/sealed when you arrive. Anything considered open will be confiscated on the gate. Camel packs (or similar) are not permitted.

What items can I NOT bring with me?

As well as alcohol, no glass or sharp objects (including picnic cutlery) are permitted to be brought into the event and all guests will be subject to a brief search on entry as part of our security policy

Can I bring a barbecue?

Due to safety concerns, barbecues of any type are prohibited anywhere on the festival site.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are not permitted anywhere on the festival site.

Can I bring my own picnic table/chairs?

You can bring your own tables and chairs into the main arena but security may ask you to move them to the perimeter of the arena if they are causing any obstruction. Chairs and picnic tables are not allowed in the area between the sound desk and the front of the stage.

Can I bring a gazeebo/small tent?

Small tents (up to a height of 1m) are permitted into the main arena, however, security may ask you to move them to the perimiter of the arena if they are causing any obstruction. Gazeebo’s and larger tents are not permitted on site.

Refunds

Please note that all tickets to this event are non-refundable and non-transferable. Due to operational issues beyond our control, some services may not always be available. In this unlikely situation, we are unable to offer refunds.

What facilities are there for disabled guests?

Let’s Rock Bristol! welcomes disabled festival goers and takes all reasonable measures to assist with their attendance and enjoyment of the event. At the same time, the festival takes place in the open countryside and disabled guests should be aware that the main arena, car park and surrounding areas are, naturally, fairly uneven and may be difficult to navigate.  Let’s Rock Bristol! stewards will be available, subject to peak movements, to assist disabled guests in getting in to the main arena.

The main car park is immediately adjacent to the arena entrance and parking stewards will ensure that any registered disabled guests are directed to the disabled parking area, which is very close to the main arena entrance.

Disabled toilets are provided on site.

There is no covered viewing platform at Lets Rock Bristol!, but there is a small area reserved for disabled guests. However, if disabled guests find that there are specific problems resulting from their disability, please contact one of the stewards who will be happy to do everything possible to help you.

How do I apply for a personal assistant ticket?

In our efforts to make Let’s Rock Bristol! accessible to everyone, we offer disabled ticket holders, subject to availability, a free ticket for a personal assistant.  This offer is open to those who hold a current higher rate of DLA (2014 or 2015), or other UK government approved supporting evidence of their requirement for a personal assistant. Carer tickets can only be issued against general entry and camping tickets.

IMPORTANT: This offer is only available to those people that would be unable to attend the festival without a full time assistant.  Every application is looked at on an individual basis and if anyone is found to be making a fraudulent application, we reserve the right to cancel both the original ticket and personal assistant ticket, before and during the event.

To apply for a personal assistant ticket, please follow the procedure below:
-  Buy a standard general admission ticket (must be online)
-  Email us proof of purchase (the email from Gigantic) AND a copy of your letter of award for DLA (or equivalent)
